Inclement weather policy.

Employee, volunteer, and client safety drive all decisions regarding weather-related closures, delays, and early dismissals.

Decision-Making Factors

The Management Team monitors National Weather Service advisories and considers onsite cameras, road condition reports from Kitsap PUD, weather forecasts and school closures, potential power outages, and local media updates.

Notification Procedures

All efforts will be made to notify employees, volunteers, and clients via email by 8:00 AM during closures or delays. Additional notifications will be posted on the Bremerton Foodline website, Facebook page, and Instagram.

General Guidance

Staff and volunteers should use common sense to assess the safety and practicality of the situation. Regional power outages would likely leave Bremerton Foodline without power as well.
