theFOODproject
A grassroots initiative bringing neighbors and food banks together across Kitsap and Mason counties.

Neighbors helping neighbors.
theFOODproject is a grassroots initiative spreading across the U.S., bringing neighbors and food banks together. In Kitsap and Mason counties, local food banks collaborate to distribute targeted donations every two months based on county-wide wishlists.
Each coordinator rallies 5–10 donors to participate in six food drives per year, aiming to bring in $3,000 worth of products annually. Together, the goal is to collect 20,000 pounds of food per drive by the end of 2025.
