Founded in 1980 by a coalition of churches, social service agencies, and individuals, Bremerton Foodline has grown from an all-volunteer emergency food operation into a comprehensive distribution hub serving Kitsap and North Mason counties.

From a small warehouse to a community hub.

Founded by a Coalition

A coalition of churches, social service agencies, and individuals came together to establish Bremerton Foodline as an all-volunteer operation providing emergency food assistance and referrals.

2001

USDA Commodities Distributor

A major milestone — Bremerton Foodline became an official USDA Commodities distributor, significantly expanding our capacity to serve the region.

Today

A Comprehensive Distribution Hub

What began as a sparsely equipped food storage warehouse now serves nearly 9,000 households and over 11,000 individuals annually across Kitsap and North Mason counties.

Bill Elwell

Former Intel employee with aerospace computing background. Active volunteer, event host, and board member.

Vice President

Scott Menard

Retired educator with 30 years experience. Certified CASA and GAL advocate for children and families in Kitsap County.

Treasurer

Dyronne Luarca

Finance director at Kitsap Credit Union. Navy veteran with VP-level experience at JP Morgan Chase, Citi, and Bank of New York Mellon.

Andy Borchers

Sales Executive, United Moving and Storage. Active volunteer since 2017.

Joan Brady

Attorney with 35 years practice. Former school board member and Federal Bar Association president.

Mark L’Esperance

Former food processing plant director with operations experience managing 18 feeding sites.

Robert Nash

Retired culinary professor from Olympic College. Creates recipes for clients and volunteers regularly.

Adraine Weber

40-year Kitsap County resident. Retired from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as first female Division Head after 38 years.
